As many of you know, I am a crafty person. But I have a BA and MA in Music Education and I have been performing on stage for years. So when I was asked to help with the Elementary School's Variety Show, I said yes. Although exhausting...a lot of work, it was worth it! The kids faces were priceless. I have one picture to share...it is of the "act" I helped create. My son came to me, one day, and said he wanted to perform at the Variety Show. Up until this point, he did not want to have anything to do with the stage. But this year, he joined Chorus, started playing the Baritone Horn, and started taking Hip Hop classes. So I needed to find a bunch of kids, his friends, who would be willing to get on stage and dance. I sent out an email, found a cool idea on the internet, and I actually got 8 kids to want to participate. This is what the idea was...I am trying very hard to add the video, so you can see it...but first, here is the picture!
Yes, they danced in the dark, to a mix of songs...and they looked like stick figures. It ROCKED THE HOUSE! These 9 years olds were so proud of the themselves and they should be!
