I spent a good amount of time, this weekend, putting together pages and pages of finished layouts. Ones that have been sitting in plastic bins....and I put them into albums....FINALLY! So today, I wanted to share what I did, but also, I looked back at some of my old albums. This is what I found. I found beautifu scrapbooks...but I also found that I have evolved, even more than before. I made beautiful pages, to save all those thousands of pictures I took when Kaileigh was a baby. Now, I have made it into an art form. And I complain how far behind I have become, but I am also proud of the artistry I have made out of these pages. My kids may not appreciate it, right now, but I know I am leaving a legacy of ME...who I am. I put my heart and soul onto theses pages. They may not all be masterpieces when I am through, but they say a little about me, in each one, even if I am not is any of the pictures. I am telling a story, of my life, with each page I create.
So here is an oldie, but goodie.
And here is one I did this weekend....I spent all afternoon, creating this one. I made my own embelliments (all flowers are stamped, colored, using Stampin' Up Secret Garden stamp set and framlits), I hand stitched all the letters and paper (with Signo white gel pen), I added some bling...and thought about the "title". I used the cricut, Don Juan and Storybook. I created a page I will look at in awe!
